Creative Workshop w/ Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch Dancer
Milan will share choreographic material containing elements inspired by Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch’s movement language. It is a rigorous movement phrase exploring how/where the body protests and how/where it restrains agitation. Within this workshop, participants will be pushed to explore and expand upon phrase work, developing it in additional creative ways for further development.
Originally from Berlin, Milan studied dance in the Netherlands where he graduated from Artez University of the Arts with a bachelor in dance/maker. During his last year of study he started working at Tanzkompagnie Konzert Theater Bern, in Switzerland, under the direction of Estefania MIranda, for 4 years. He’s worked with choreographers Dimitris Papaioannou, Felix Landerer, Club Guy and Roni, Yumin Yang, Amos Ben-Tal, Jeori Dubbe, Overhead Project, & a.o. Since august 2017 he is a company member of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. He also participates in the Circle of Guides, at the Artez bachelor of dance program, mentoring 4th year graduates.
